What would it take to share enough of who you are to explore with another intellectually honest person and listen and learn?
Could you incorporate enough basic guidelines to be in a civil conversation about race, gender, cancel culture?
Is there a topic that you think is important enough to fully explore and make sure that your perspective is solid-or needs to evolve?
Understanding does not mean agreement. I understand there is such a concept as unicorn, yet my horse has no horn and neither do any others:)
What is the basic perspective you hold in domains such as philosophy, politics, religion? All topics my parents held as taboo with their friends:)
What ideas/perspectives have you become emotionally agitated when exposed to them via conversation or media?
What opinions do you hold that although you may not have solid evidence for you feel they are worth keeping?
How did you come to believe what you believe? How confident are you that it is 'true"? Who said and what was their authority to say so?
What evidence, sources, experiences do you count on as a foundation to what you say you know?
